"Récréative" Popular Ride
The Ride for Everyone! This is a great 32-km recreational ride through the East Hereford countryside. Participants must be at least 10 years old. If you have children from aged 6 to 10 years, CCS Dalbix will take care of them while you're out riding. An obstacle course is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
The Récréative ride features the grand tour of East Hereford scenery. We will be pedaling along the mountain sides around the village, on trails for the most part. We will be able to see quite far, but that will mean climbing a few hillsides. The air there is redolent with the scent of fir trees because we'll be weaving our way through Christmas tree plantations. It's a ride that just about anybody can do. We will even have a minivan on hand if anyone needs help up the last and the longest hill on the outing. Moreover, there will be a replenishment station right at the top.
The event is slated to take place on Saturday, july 17. The starting time is 12:30 p.m. and the rendezvous point is in front of the East Hereford church. The fee is $20 per person for individuals over 16 years of age (maximum of $45 per family) and $10 for children 6 to 16 years of age. Replenishment is provided throughout the entire ride. The mayor's dinner at 5:30 p.m. is included in the fee and there is no charge for children under 5.
The same route will be used for the mini-raid the next as well as the second loop of the marathon. So, it will give undecided cyclists an opportunity to see if they want to try the raid or mini-raid.
We are in the process of preparing an evening activity under the canvas. Come back to the Web site often for more information! |
